My Very Own Special Yarn. Knitted Sweater Project, Post IV, The Sweater Has Been Knit.

It took me about 5 days, but my sweater is knit!  Yay!  I haven’t seamed the sides in these pictures, because I wanted you to get a visual of how it was knit.  Next time I make a sweater I will try to adjust the pattern so I can knit it in the round.  I think it would be quicker and more even.  Plus, no purling!

The lattice/lace work was a pain at first.  I think I ripped it out 5 times.  It looks a little uneven, but that could be something as simple as not having your tension the same each day.  I made my sweater wider and longer than the pattern called for.  I wanted it to be a loose sweater.  The image from the pattern the sweater is so short, so I added 2 inches.  I wish I would have made it 3, but what’s done is done.

Also, as you can tell from the pictures, the back lattice work is longer than the front.  That is intentional.  I didn’t want the lace to come down too low in the front, even though I will be wearing a tank top under this!

I’m pretty happy with it.  I haven’t made pictures of me in it, but that will be next, so you can see the finished product.

Our journey has bumps and twists, ups and downs, but we wouldn't have it any other way! Please join us and our two poodles as we flip this old house and work towards the adoption of our first child!
